KANSAS CITY METRO & OVERLAND PARK, KS RADON TESTING

Radon is a cancer-causing radioactive gas that can increase your risk of getting lung cancer when breathing air containing radon in your home. In fact, the Surgeon General has warned that radon is the second leading cause of lung cancer.  Your chances of getting lung cancer from radon depend mostly on:

  • How much radon is in your home
  • The amount of time you spend in your home
  • Whether you are a smoker or have ever smoked

You cannot see, smell or taste it, but Radon may be a problem in your home. The EPA and the Surgeon General recommend testing all homes below the third floor for radon because it’s the only way to confirm a home’s radon level. Don’t wait to test and fix a radon problem.

Our radon testing requires a minimum of 48 hours to perform.  Testing provides an accurate measurement that can be utilized to detect a potentially dangerous environment requiring mitigation.  We are Certified Residential Measurement Providers by the National Environmental Health Association National Radon Proficiency Program “A nationally recognized certification program for radon professionals maintaining the highest level of ethics and quality”.  A minimum of 48 hours is required to perform a Radon Test.
